GUY
Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, and Damion Hall are members of the legendary R&B group GUY. Teddy Riley is the mastermind behind new jack swing, a subgenre of R&B that combines hip-hop and R&B. He is also known for his work with Michael Jackson on songs like "Remember the Time" and "In the Closet."
The group was formed in 1987 and released its self-titled debut album in 1988. The album was a success, spawning the hit singles " Teddy's Jam" and "I Like." The group's follow-up album, The Future, was released in 1990 and featured the hit single "Groove Me."
GUY captured the imagination of R&B fans with their futuristic sound and style. Teddy Riley's innovative production made them one of the most exciting groups of the late '80s and early '90s. And their live show was an electrifying experience, full of energy and choreographed dance moves.
If you were lucky enough to see GUY in concert, you know that they were a force to be reckoned with on stage. Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, and Damion Hall brought new jack swing to life with their music, style, and dance moves. They were a group ahead of their time, and their live show was an unforgettable experience. Here are a few images I captured of these guys pouring their hearts out to the packed arenas. Enjoy!
